The National Board of Directors is happy to announce a change in the National Fraternity awards process. Effective immediately, awards applications will be based on work over the calendar year as opposed to the academic year. This means that awards applications will be due in January, with awards being announced and distributed at the 2007 Membership Educational Forum. The next round of awards will take this past spring’s work into consideration.
Awards applications will be available later in the
semester online. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. If
there are questions about the new awards process, please contact Kevin Stinn
at leadershipdirector@betasigmapsi
Starting this semester, all active and alumni chapters
must submit all forms electronically in order for them to be properly
accepted. These forms as well as the dates for submission may be
obtained at http://www.betasigmapsi.org
Now you can raise money for the Beta Sigma Psi Educational Foundation just by searching the Internet at GoodSearch.com.
You use GoodSearch.com like any
other search engine - the site is powered by Yahoo! - but each time you do,
money is generated for us. Here’s how it works:
1. Go to www.goodsearch.com
2. Type Beta Sigma Psi
into the “I support” box and click on “verify”
3. Search the Internet just like you would with any
search engine
4. Since GoodSearch shares its advertising revenue
with charities and schools, every time you search the Internet at GoodSearch,
you’ll be earning money for us.
5. GoodSearch also has a toolbar you can download
from the homepage so that you can search right from the top of your
browser. Go to the GoodSearch.com Toolbar and
follow the instructions on how to download the toolbar to your computer!
You can keep track of
our estimated earnings by clicking on “amount raised” once you designate us
as your organization of choice. We
estimate that each search will generate approximately $0.01 for the
Educational Foundation. If we can get 1,000 supporters searching twice a day
we would receive an estimated $7,300 per year. Even if we had 100
supporters searching twice a day we would earn an estimated $730.
The sky is the limit, though – the more people who use the site, the more
money we’ll earn, so please spread the word!!
